Blog Post #8: Nineteen Minutes

Im currently reading nineteen minutes by Jodi picouit.I just started reading this book and the first chapter is very interesting. The author starts stating everything you can do in nineteen minutes. This book makes me very happy because its reality. It starts stating what I was thinking about. I really love this book alot just by the look of it. And while reading this blurb it suddenly becomes more interesting. By reading the blurb it states "nineteen minutes asks what it means to be different in our society, who has the right to judge someone else, and whether anyone is ever really who they seem to be". This book is pretty deep.

In the first chapter it talks about  a girl named Alex and a girl named Josie. Im pretty confused but I think there mother and daughter. They kind of have an argument in the begging about smoking and having coffee. They have many arguments about jeans and sweatpants and bacon. But I hope by the end of this chapter or two I understand what happens.

The first paragraph talks about what can be accomplished in nineteen minutes. by the end if the chapter it ends with " in nineteen minutes you can get revenge". Wow that end sentence shows alot. someone is planning revenge. well Thats not good. I hope this book has a very serious ending. So they introduce six main characters Alex, Josie, Matthew, Lacy, Peter, and Patrick. Okay something big just happened at the end of this chapter Matt just got  shot and killed Josie  was there but them she doesn't remember anything that happened there it was like she blanked out. She was shocked and now Patrick the detective is trying to find out the whole story. They arrested the criminal in the locker room. Patrick is trying to put the whole story together.

All in All, this book is amazing so far i love it.I hope it gets really interesting to the point that there will be a continuing book.I love this book so far. And i hope to be done with it in a week.
